What makes Kassem's experience different?
In his earlier years of educations, he first attained the Personal Training Certification through ACE at 18 and followed that up with several university degrees including biochemistry, biology, exercise physiology, and nutrition. Unlike most personal trainers who pursue a physical education degree or that of one directed towards personal training for the commercial industry, Kassem's education was geared towards a deeper understanding of the biochemistry and physiology of the body. In today's world a great coach or fitness professional needs to have a firm grasp of the underlying physiology that the principles of his/her training are built on. Knowing a few statistics and having a good vocabulary are the bulk of most personal training education programs. You can not effectively design programs for individuals without such an understanding. After college Kassem worked in performance enhancement research, and as a personal trainer, attaining a certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. However again dissatisfied with the depth of the NASM program he continued to do his own research until he started taking courses though Charles Poliquin. The PICP program provided superior education and application than the commercial certification courses and there just flat out isn't anything out there that comes close to the BioSignature as far as nutrition and supplementation are concerned. The programs offered by the Poliquin Strength Institute teach coaches advanced techniques and methods that are practical to their athletes and clients, and proven by the latest science and clinical practices. The value of this type of education is easily assessed by the results achieved by Kassem's clients and athletes. Kassem continued to stay up to date with the latest research and continues to take many Poliquin courses. In addition, Kassem also follows the work of Paul Chek, Mel Siff, Mark Houston, Mark Schauss, Bob Guiel, Stuart McGill, and many more.
